Brazil - Metra Metropolitan Transport System (Metra), the operator of the ABD Corridor and its extension Diadema-Brooklin in São Paulo, in partnership with UBus, has launched a new ‘on-demand’ city bus service operating a new line between São Bernardo city and São Paulo on the São Bernardo - Berrini corridor (33km). Unlike other similar services already in place, on Metra Line 376-SBC all passengers are seated, and stops are only made for boarding and disembarking of those who have pre-booked a seat via the UBus app.

The Metra company says it is the first to offer this type of differentiated intraurban transport service, with the purchase of tickets via the UBus* app to give the customer choice of the vehicle type they choose to ride on as well as the available services on board such as streaming entertainment, Wi-Fi, USB outlets and location (such as in all armchair seats), air conditioning and the ability to select and reserve seats.
