BYD Europe presents ‘bus of the future’

China / Belgium - BYD Europe BV of Schiedam, the Netherlands, subsidiary of Chinese electric bus and truck builder, BYD Company Ltd, launched its next generation 12m city bus at Busworld Europe last month. It had redesigned modular body framework, which it said adds strength, rigidity and longer life. Weight is further reduced with the addition of a composite roof and wheel covers.
New CO2 air conditioning provides eco-friendly passenger comfort. In heat pump mode, the system increases heating ability while also lowering noise and vibration levels. The new system features BYD’s in-house-developed protection from overheating and freezing.
