Sweden - A new CAM1000 blind spot camera by Dometic Group of Stockholm, Sweden, is claiming to be able to reliably distinguish pedestrians and cyclists from irrelevant objects such as traffic lights or lamp posts. The system fully complies with the new legal requirements introduced in Germany.

The CAM1000 blind spot camera is designed to gain the attention of the driver quickly by warning only went there is an actual risk as use of intelligent image processing software minimises the risk of false alarms. So, when the system does alarm, the driver knows there really is a danger of a collision in the blind spot.
