JCC plans to take full control of Mercedes dealer group in Malaysia

Malaysia / Singapore / Germany - Jardine Cycle & Carriage Ltd (JCCL), a Singapore-listed conglomerate with significant vehicle distribution operations in the region, has proposed to buy out the minority shareholders of its Malaysian vehicle dealer group, Cycle & Carriage Bintang Bhd (CCB) and take the company private.

JCCL currently owns a 59.1% stake in CCB, Malaysia's largest Mercedes-Benz dealer group with 13 passenger car and commercial vehicle outlets and several Mitsubishi-Fuso commercial vehicle sales and service outlets. CCB is listed on the Malaysian main stock exchange as Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad.
