Russia – The Likino Bus Plant (LiAZ), which produces a range of large buses and coaches at its headquarters in Likino-Dulyovo, Moscow region and is a member of Russian Buses, division of the GAZ Group - has started producing a new low entry version of its LiAZ-5292 bus for suburban operations. The vehicle has two access points, a single door at the front and double door in the middle. The design focus is to offer maximum seats of 42, while keeping the central part of the bus as free flowing as possible. Two folding seats opposite the mid-entrance provide for space and fixtures to accommodate a wheelchair. The vehicle has Wi-Fi, USB chargers, luggage racks and air conditioning.

All the seats have tall backs with folding armrests on the central corridor side and three-point safety belts, making it compliant with exceeding 50km on certain designated commuter routes. For routes where passengers are permitted to stand, the new model can transport up to 81 people.
