UK / Sweden - The first 57-seat Scania Interlink coach to be built for the UK has been delivered. Based on a Scania K 410 EB4x2 chassis, the body has been built by Scania’s body facility in Lahti, Finland, to specifications expressed by Taunton School in Taunton, Somerset. The specification features three-point seatbelts, USB charging points at each seat, a DVD Player, vertically operated pantograph lockers and Alcoa Dura-Bright alloy wheels. The coach has been delivered on a contract hire basis through Falcon Vehicle Solutions. The vehicle has a two-year repair and maintenance package and is to be serviced by local Scania dealer, Scania Bridgwater, at its recently-opened state-of-the-art service centre.

A second Scania Interlink coach of the same specification is scheduled to enter service with the Taunton School fleet in the spring.
