Schwarzmüller acquires German trailer manufacturer Hüffermann

Austria / Germany - Wilhelm Schwarzmüller GmbH, trading as “Schwarzmüller Group” and based in Freinburg, Upper Austria, announced a complete acquisition of trailer manufacturer Hüffermann Transportsysteme GmbH of Neustadt, Brandenburg, Germany on 18 February.
For more than 100 years, Hüffermann has manufactured container swap-body systems and truck bodies for the refuse and recycling sector. With a workforce of 250 employees, the German company produces over 1,000 units annually and achieves an average turnover of EUR40m, serving markets such as Eastern Europe, Italy, Scandinavia, France, Russia, and Japan. Schwarzmüller hopes to extend its expertise in the construction and infrastructure vehicle sectors through its acquisition; in turn, Hüffermann now has opportunities to extend its business into new markets, including Austria.
