UK - Carrier Transicold of Warrington, has delivered the first new Vector HE 19 (High Efficiency) trailer refrigeration unit in the UK to the Dartmouth Crab Company, based in Brixham, which has been mounted on a 13.6m Gray & Adams reefer trailer. It joins six similar trailers already in operation, each specially modified for the transportation of live shellfish to customers across the UK and into Europe.

Carrier Transicold, which launched its flagship next-generation temperature-controlled trailer system –Vector HE 19 – at the Munich Transport Logistic 2019 exhibition in April last year, said its  new, ultra-modern design delivers a reduction in fuel consumption of up to 30%, creates 10% savings in weight, reduces noise by 3 dB(A) and offers up to 15% savings on maintenance costs.
