Fuso launches new heavy truck in Malaysia

Malaysia / Japan / India – January 2020 saw Hap Seng Trucks Distribution Sdn Bhd of Puchong, Selangor (the truck distributor for Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (Fuso) and Daimler Trucks Asia of Kawasaki City, Kanagawa, Japan) launch a new heavy Fuso truck, the Mitsubishi-Fuso FJ1828R on the Malaysian market.

The new 19-ton gvw truck is manufactured in India by Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt Ltd (DICV) at its plant in Oragadam, near Chennai and is targeted at a broad number of end-user segments including logistics companies, courier services, waste management companies, plantation and manufacturing companies. It is fitted with the company’s 6-cyclinder 6.4-litre diesel 6S20 engine, producing 280hp and 1,100Nm of torque at between 1,200-1,600 rev/min, and a nine-speed transmission.
