Sweden - Volvo Trucks of Gothenburg, Sweden is introducing four new trucks, the FH, FH16, FM and FMX, with a strong focus on the driver environment, safety and productivity. Growing demand for transport is putting pressure on the availability of skilled drivers worldwide. European estimates show around 20% of all driver jobs are vacant. To help customers recruit and retain the best drivers, Volvo has focused on developing the new trucks to make them safer, more efficient and more attractive working tools for qualified drivers.

The FH16, Volvo's flagship model, features an uprated front axle weight and this can also be equipped with a 38t bogie for demanding operation. Tag and pusher axles have improved steering angles to aid manoeuvrability and reduce tyre wear. The 16 litre engine can provide up to 750hp.
