Wabco’s collaboration with Plug and Play accelerating digital innovation within the group and CV sector

Switzerland / USA – Six months on from when Wabco Holdings Inc of Bern, Switzerland made a three-year agreement with global innovation platform, Plug and Play of Silicon Valley, USA – see details of the collaboration agreement below* - Wabco’s Global Head of Technology Scouting, Dr Gandert Van Raemdonck, has provided an update on the company’s progress of this recent collaboration.

 When asked - Why was Wabco cooperating with Plug and Play - Van Raemdonck said Wabco was embracing open innovation as a key driver of the company’s ongoing success. “At Wabco,” Van Raemdonck said, “we have a strong track record of innovation, products and services, but digitization and new players entering the market call for continuous change and improvement. Our goal is to identify and work with startups, high growth and larger, more established companies, as well as multi-nationals that can help accelerate our innovation pipeline and product offering to continuously advance Wabco’s Autonomous, Connected and Electric {ACE} vehicle and transport ecosystem technologies. Wabco wants to advance our industry and remain a leader in technological innovation. One way to do that is to be part of a global innovation platform such as Plug and Play.”
