Penso invests GBP16.5m to offer radical new ultralight weight body solution for home delivery segment

UKPenso, a British engineering firm, based in Coventry, specialising in design and production of lightweight composite products for some of the biggest brands in the aerospace and automotive sectors (Airbus, Jaguar Land Rover and Mercedes-Benz (Vito Taxi)) has announced its entry into the UK commercial vehicle bodybuilding segment with plans to transform the home delivery sector.

The company, which has developed a range of new ultra-lightweight composite bodies for the 3.5-tonne commercial vehicle delivery market. It offers a body with an aerodynamic design, improved functionality for the driver, use of both carbon fibre and recycled plastic that comes with a 10-year structural warranty, and one that is compatible with diesel, electric and hybrid chassis.
