Sweden / UK – Stockholm-based Volta Trucks, the developer of the Volta Zero electric truck concept, has revealed additional information on the vehicle's construction.

Volta Zero is a purpose-built full electric large truck (16t gvw) designed specifically for inner-city last-mile freight and parcel distribution with a clear focus on the safety of the driver and other road users. The driver has a central driving position with a wide 220-degrees of direct vision around the vehicle. This panoramic view delivers a Transport-for-London five-star Direct Vision Standard rating for optimum visibility and reduction of blind spots. Driving safety and visibility is also enhanced using rear-view cameras that replace traditional mirrors, offering a 360-degree birds-eye view of the vehicle’s complete surroundings, as well as blind-sport warning systems to detect objects on the vulnerable side of the vehicle.
