UK - Electric motor manufacturing company, Saietta Group*, which specialises in propulsion motors for a broad range of electric vehicles (EVs) from scooters to buses has announced it to expand its production facilities in Bicester (Oxfordshire). Creating 150-250 jobs in the area over the next three to five years, the proposed new sustainable plant is to be powered by solar panels. (Funding for the expansion is being raised via a fresh round of investment).

Saietta says its radical, lightweight and efficient motor has played its part in setting world speed records for electric powered aircraft and boats, as well as launching the first manned electric helicopter flight and powering the first Isle of Man TT Zero victory. The same technology can be applied to commercial vehicles including trucks and buses.
