Volta Trucks has won its first major order for Volta Zero electric truck

UK / Sweden - Volta Trucks of Stockholm, Sweden has confirmed its first order for the Volta Zero* 16t gvw electric truck. Scheduled to begin production in 2022, the battery electric truck is to be supplied to London-based firm, Drinks Cubed, a producer of drinks in sustainable packaging. The order is said to be a multi-million pound contract for a fleet of Volta Zero trucks.

Volta Trucks claims the Volta Zero truck is first road vehicle to use a carbon-neutral, naturally grown flax-fibre and biodegradable resin composite in the construction of its exterior body panels. It was launched in September in an online event which attracted over 30,000 views.
