Volvo Penta supplies e-powertain system for Rosenbauer’s new fire trucks

Sweden / Austria - Three Rosenbauer fire trucks featuring Volvo Penta electric drivelines are currently being delivered to fire departments in Berlin, Amsterdam, and Dubai to begin real-world customer testing.

Volvo Penta, an engine supplier for marine, industrial and mobility based in Skövde, Sweden, and subsidiary of the Volvo Group has developed an electric driveline for a new fire truck built by Rosenbauer of Leoning, Austria. The truck is named “Revolutionary Technology” (RT) and is claimed to feature ground-breaking drive technology, vehicle architecture, operability, and connectivity.
