Castertech buys Fundituba from the Stedile Group

Brazil – Metal parts supplier, Castertech Fundição e Tecnologia of Caxias do Sul, RS (a subsidiary of Empresas Randon S.A.) has acquired Fundituba Indústria Metalúrgica Ltda of Indaiatuba City, São Paulo State (SP) from Grupo Stedile S.A., also of Caxias do Sul – the controlling shareholder in Agrale S.A. The value of the transaction was not disclosed.

With this acquisition, Castertech extends its production capacity and flexibility of parts casting production to around 65,000 tons a year. Commenting on the acquisition of Fundituba, Eduardo Dalla Nora, director of Suspensions at Empresas Randon, said: “In addition to expanding production capacity, we will improve the company’s logistics by establishing a business unit in São Paulo, strengthening our presence in the auto parts market.”
