Commercial vehicle manufacturers invest to expand dealer network across Brazil

Brazil - Truck and bus manufacturers in Brazil have been investing in expanding their dealer networks to boost sales and support. DAF, Iveco, Foton Caminhões, Mercedes-Benz, Scania, Volkswagen Trucks and Buses and Volvo Trucks Latin America have all added new dealers, adding more than 60 new truck dealer points in the country. In November, Volvo surpassed 100 truck dealers in Brazil and Foton increased by 26 new points, which were mostly old Ford Trucks dealers. Mercedes-Benz remains one of the largest networks with 180 dealers.

This move to expand the dealership network is seen as evidence that there is fierce competition in both the truck and bus markets with manufacturers seeing the need to strengthen customer relationships.
