Bucher and ENWAY begin autonomous sweeper trial on public roads in Singapore

Germany / Switzerland / SingaporeENWAY GmbH, a Berlin software developer and Bucher Municipal AG of Niederweningen, the Swiss sweeper manufacturer are to commence trials on public roads of a self-driving autonomous utility vehicle in Singapore. The companies and its other partners have been testing autonomous street cleaning in and around private premises in Singapore since 2019.

In conjunction with Singapore’s National Environment Agency (NEA), trial runs are beginning of autonomous road sweepers on public roads to make the city-state cleaner and more sustainable. The autonomous compact sweeper called ‘Donner,’ developed by a consortium led by ENWAY and Bucher Municipal, has passed the Land Transport Authority’s approval test for autonomous vehicles for use on public roads.
