Yutong and WeDrive in JV project to deliver 200 autonomous vehicles for passenger transport in Zhengzhou in first six months of 2021

ChinaZhengzhou Yutong Bus Co Ltd (Yutong) of Zhengzhou, China together with its joint venture project partner, autonomous driving technology start-up, WeRide of Guangzhou, has announced the companies are to deliver 200 of mini Robobus autonomous passenger transport vehicles for operations in a dedicated zone or area within Zhengzhou in the first half of 2021.

Yutong said together with WeRide it plans to operate 200 autonomous vehicles and to build the biggest and most advanced 5G autonomous drive pilot zone in Zhengzhou. Initially, 10 autonomous buses and 10 autonomous cars will operate between the CBD, financial center and Zhengzhou East Railway station.
