Yutong makes USD200m investment in Series B1 funding of autonomous driving technology start-up WeRide

WeRide’s Series B1 Funding with a strategic investment from Yutong Group

China – The Yutong Group of Zhengzhou (which owns the world’s largest bus builder, Zhengzhou Yutong Bus Co Ltd (Yutong)) in December 2020 made a strategic investment¹of USD200m in WeRide of Guangzhou, an autonomous driving technology start-up company. This investment, the Yutong Group claims, makes it the largest ever by a Chinese vehicle maker in autonomous driving technologies.
