The Netherlands / UKDAF Trucks NV of Eindhoven, The Netherlands has introduced a new 19t zero-emission urban delivery truck capable of a range of up to 280km on a single charge. The LF Electric’s e-motor provides 250kW of nominal power (370 kW peak) and a nominal torque of 1,200Nm (3,700Nm peak). Power is supplied via a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack with a gross energy content of 282kWh (254kWh effective).

The new generation LFP batteries (Lithium Ferro Phosphate) contain no cobalt or magnesium, in the interests of sustainability, says DAF. They are better packaged to deliver a higher energy density per litre and improved thermal safety. The LFP batteries come with a 6-year warranty.
