Lithuania / Sweden - Girteka Logistics, a major European logistics company based in Lithuania, has placed an order for 2,000 of the latest generation, Volvo FH trucks. Girteka believes it will benefit from improved safety, increased driver comfort, reduced fuel consumption, improved vehicle uptime and reduced emissions. A large proportion of the order will include Volvo’s I-Save technology, which is claimed to deliver up to 10% fuel savings.

Girteka Logistics employs 15,000 truck drivers and operates 8,000 trucks across Europe and Russia. Production of Volvo Trucks’ new heavy-duty range is set to start March 2021 and the trucks will be delivered to Girteka during the year. A large part of the order is being supported by Volvo Financial Services, which has traditionally supported Girteka over its 15-year association with Volvo.
