Volta Trucks is first customer for Proterra battery systems

Sweden / UK / USA - Volta Trucks of Stockholm, Sweden, a start-up manufacturer of 16-ton gvw electric trucks under the brand name of Volta Zero, designed specifically for inner city freight distribution, has selected California, Burlingame-based Proterra Inc, as its battery supplier.

Volta Trucks states this supply agreement completes its strategic sourcing of the electric powertrain. Volta Zero vehicles are scheduled to start customer trials later in 2021 with series production starting around 12 months thereafter.
