Brazil - Bus and coach exports continue downward spiral

Brazil - The bus and coach chassis segment maintained a downward trend and decreased 16.3% in the first quarter of 2021, with 845 units exported (1,009). Bus and coach exports have been in a downward spiral since 2019 and compared with two years ago the exports have shrunk by almost 60%. The coach sector continues to struggle, whereas city bus exports actually increased by 1.8%. The outlook for export demand remains low, although some countries in South America have picked up.
