Van Hool sets up UK distribution business after closure of representative

UK / Belgium – Van Hool NV of Koningshooikt, Belgium, has set up a new subsidiary in the UK called Van Hool UK Ltd. Based in Wellingborough, it will undertake the import, distribution, sales and aftersales support of the company’s bus and coach products.
The move follows the closure and administration of its importer, Cleckheaton-based Arriva Bus & Coach due to its parent company (Arriva Plc*) determining the business was no longer viable. Van Hool had only recently moved to Arriva Bus & Coach after some 25 years with England’s Moseley, which also last year filed for administration.
