Switch Mobility restructures to expand globally in EV transport

UK / India - Switch Mobility Ltd (formerly Optare UK Plc) of Sherburn-in-Elmet, a developer of electrified buses and light commercial vehicles (LCVs), has announced the creation of two subsidiary companies to support its global expansion plans.

Switch Mobility Automotive Ltd, based in Chennai, is to lead the company’s electric vehicle (EV) strategy in India, bringing together the EV operations of Ashok Leyland, the parent company of Switch Mobility, and the capabilities and expertise of the former Optare business.
