DICV opens Virtual Reality Centre in Chennai

Chennai – Daimler India Commercial Vehicles Pvt Ltd (DICV) of Oragadam, near Chennai, a subsidiary of Germany’s Daimler AG, has opened a Virtual Reality Centre (VRC) in Chennai.

Daimler India's VRC allows for better and faster design and development aspects of its vehicles. The VRC is used for visualising the digital model in 3D, it reduces prototype building costs, and allows others remote members of a design and engineering team to visualise and experience many aspects of the development such as practical design and service related issues and R&D issues. The VRC systems uses Daimler’s digital medium that can be accessed using joysticks and 3D goggles.
