Sweden - DAFO Energy Storage Protection1, a division of DAFO AB of Tyresö, Sweden, is participating in a project together with the Swedish electronic testing solutions company, Wireflow2, of Gothenburg, to develop a system for battery cell testing. The project, called Project Tord, which is co-funded by Vinnova of Stockholm (Sweden’s innovation agency), Toyota Material Handling AB of Bromma, and WireFlow, is scheduled to be finalised during the summer of 2021.

The objective of Project Tord is to design a prototype to perform tests on Lithium-Ion cells. In the test rig, the cells will be tested for many different scenarios. Dafo Energy Storage Protection is providing its expertise and products in terms of fire protection.
