UK / Japan - Electric van, bus and micro-factory developer, Arrival Ltd of London, UK has appointed Hitachi Europe Ltd of Maidenhead, UK (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Japan's Hitachi Ltd) to help deliver complete fleet bus and infrastructure solutions to the European bus industry.

The non-exclusive partnership combines Hitachi’s holistic approach1 to bus fleet transition, from diesel powered vehicles to operation fleets of electric buses. Together, the companies plan to work with operators to deploy integrated end to end solutions incorporating all aspects of owning and operating Arrival vehicles; this includes items such as charging infrastructure and digital tools. The deployment of these solutions aims to simplify the transition to electric. Hitachi will also enable data collection from the many sensors within the Arrival Bus to further optimise customer operations as part of the relationship.
