Iveco’s first half sales up by 71% in Brazil as it plans to introduce gas-powered vehicles on the market

Brazil - Sales of trucks and bus chassis by Iveco Latin America Ltda of Sete Lagoas, Minas Gerais in Brazil grew 71% in the first half of this year, well above the market average, which was around 50%. The company, whose sales grew by 30% in 2020, finished the first half this year as the fastest growing commercial vehicle brand in Brazil.

According to Marcio Querichelli, head of Iveco South America Iveco grew by 47% in the LCV & ICV market segment, while the market grew by 33% in the same period. He said Iveco is notably strong in the chassis-cab segment, with a market share of 35.6%; the strong growth being attributed to a rise in demand from the e-commerce home-delivery market.
