Scania signs partnership with Comgás to accelerate the sales of gas-powered trucks and buses

Brazil Scania Latin America Ltda of São Bernardo do Campo, SP, and Comgás (Companhia de Gás se São Paulo) of São Paulo, SP, the largest natural gas distributor in Brazil, have announced they are cooperating to initiate several joint actions to accelerate the development of the gas-powered commercial vehicles (natural gas and biomethane) in Brazil.

Christopher Podgorski, president and CEO of Scania Latin America said: "This initiative is fundamental to boosting development of the distribution infrastructure and expanding supply options. We are committed to promoting the sustainable transformation of the transport sector and making fuels alternative to diesel the new normal, considering the social, environmental, economic and financial benefits that this path can generate.” Podgorski added: “This partnership will reduce barriers to making sustainable transport solutions feasible.”
