Turntide Technologies acquires AVID Technology and forms intelligent motor systems supplier cluster in the UK

USA / UK – Electric motor maker, Turntide Technologies of Sunnyvale, California, the developer of the Smart Motor System, has acquired AVID Technology Ltd, a British company manufacturing electric powertrain components and systems based in Gateshead, UK.
AVID designs power electronics and motors used in electric and hybrid vehicle powertrain systems - pumps, fans, and propulsion etc - for vehicles such as construction machinery, heavy-duty buses, trucks, off-highway machinery, and propulsion robotics. By combining the Smart Motor System with the acquired electric vehicle technology, Turntide says this has deepened its technology stack around the motor to include the inverter, electronics, vehicle control unit, and battery management system.
