VDL enters Latvian market with 31 Futuras and 21 MidEuros

The Netherlands / Latvia - VDL Bus & Coach NV of Valkenswaard is entering public transportation in Latvia following an order for 31 Futuras and 21 MidEuros from Riga-based BBus. The customer specified 30, Futura FMD2-129, one Futura FMD2-135 and 21, intercity versions of the MidEuro. The vehicles will also support services in the Saldus and Kuldiga regions.

B-Bus was formed in 1998 and has over 20 years’ experience in passenger transport in Latvia and Lithuania. It operates public transport services using 550 buses on 200 routes and employing 1,000 workers. Each year their company buses drive 25 million kilometres and transport 30 million passengers.
