VWCO starts e-Delivery sales in Brazil and creates a e-mobility business model

Brazil - July saw Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus Ltda (VWCO) of Resende, Rio de Janeiro (a Traton Group company) deliver the first of 100 e-Delivery all-electric light trucks to Ambev, who has ordered 1,600 e-trucks in total. VWCO says it is now receiving interest from other companies (58 companies in total to date), including Coca-Cola and JBS.

In fact, according to Roberto Cortes, president of VWCO, as well as delivering 100 units to Ambev progressively through to October, Coca-Cola FEMSA Brasil of São Paulo has ordered 20 units with the first one, a 14-ton e-Delivery variant, being delivered by the year end; another JBS SA, located in São Paulo has ordered one unit for testing.
