UK – Seen as a major business tool for its customers to manage its fleets more effectively and efficiency, Wrightbus of Ballymena at the ITT Hub mobility technology show in Farnborough, UK , launched WB Uptime 365. Uptime is a new telemetry system which provides real-time feedback on performance, maintenance and even CO2 savings and all new Wrightbus vehicles will be fitted with WB Uptime 365, as standard.

Ian Gillott, group director for parts and service at Wrightbus, speaking at the show event said WB Uptime 365 is a customer-focussed telematic solution to provide improved uptime and increased fleet efficiencies using live data analytics. Gillott explained that through an established partner, it has highly advanced hardware that connects with over 5,000 sensors on the bus sending information every second to a virtual storage facility for analysis, which then measures and monitors the vehicle in real time. The AI-based system provides real-time predictive data analysis and can alert operators when a bus needs preventive intervention, saving on maintenance costs. It is backed up by the company’s support and repair service.
