Brazil - According to Luiz Carlos Moraes, the president of the National Association of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (ANFAVEA) of Sao Paulo, is expecting the Brazilian truck sector to continue to be positive and to perform better than any other vehicle categories in Brazil, even despite the pandemic and the economic crisis.

Moraes says the sector should register a very significant recovery in the heavy truck segment, especially if the anticipated expectations of record harvests are delivered. The light sector too is expected to continue to grow this year, providing the supply chain can get deliveries of key components like raw materials and parts. Moraes said: "The forecast is for an increase of 13% in sales and 23% in the production, in comparison with 2020.”
