India Pistons partners with US-based Shaw Development for DEF solutions JV

Chennai / USA – Chennai-based India Pistons Ltd (IPL)1 – a division of the Amalgamations Group - a leading manufacturer of pistons and allied components for the internal combustion engine, has entered into a joint venture (JV) with Florida-based Shaw Development LLC2 to manufacture DEF (diesel exhaust fluid) solutions for heavy-duty vehicles (CV and Off-Road) and diesel engine manufacturers. The new entity will be called IPL Shaw Solutions Private Limited.
Through this JV, Shaw’s development plan is to offer emission treatment components, such as DEF reservoirs, sensors, modules, filters, caps, and other fluid management solutions, to vehicle manufacturers in India.
