UK – The British sales and marketing division of Swedish CV manufacturer, Scania AB of Sodertalje, Sweden and its independent dealers have announced plans to make “significant investments” in staff training and equipment over the next two years. Their aim is to improve aftermarket maintenance and repair for its buses and coaches in 20 service centres across its dealer network in the UK.

Mark Grant, Services Director for Scania (Great Britain) Ltd, said: “The diversity and complexity of body types and the equipment fitted to [Scania buses and coaches] calls for additional skills and, in some cases, tooling. … As the range of powertrain technologies expands it is paramount that our technicians are highly skilled to ensure our buses and coaches deliver the performance and uptime our customers rely on to deliver a great passenger-experience to the travelling public.”
