Volvo Buses launches 9400 4x2 coach model at 13.5m

Bangalore / Sweden – Volvo Buses India Pvt Ltd of Bengaluru (a wholly-owned subsidiary of VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd (VECV) of Pithampur) has launched a 13.5-metre 4x2 coach in India. The rear engine bus has been developed on the modular Volvo 94001 platform, which is the basis for three other options in this model, the 12-metre 4x2 and the 13.5-metre and 14.5-metre 6x2 models.
The rear-engine Volvo B8R 13.5m coach maintains industry-leading safety, fuel economy, performance, and passenger comfort that Volvo Bus operators and passengers have come to expect from Volvo Buses. It offers up to 10% extra seating capacity and more than 20% additional sleeper berth capacity with almost 25% increase in passenger luggage space. Fully built buses delivered from VECV’s Hosakote facility are fully compliant with current Central Motor Vehicle Regulations (CMVR) norms.
