Allison Transmission announces largest-ever retrofit order for FuelSense 2.0 software

USA / UK – Allison Transmission Inc of Indianapolis, USA, has announced an aftermarket order of its FuelSense 2.0 software for a fleet of 493, Dennis Eagle and Mercedes-Benz Econic trucks operated by waste management firm Biffa, based in High Wycombe, UK.

The order follows a six-month trial, during which Biffa found that FuelSense 2.0 delivered fuel savings of up to 9% with a reduction of approximately 4,500 kg of CO2. Biffa has noted that the retrofit will have paid for itself after just four months of use.
