By Bradley Osborne - 27th September 2021

Germany / Russia SAF-Holland SE, a manufacturer of chassis components for commercial vehicles based in Bessenbach, Bavaria, Germany, is constructing a new facility in the Moscow region of Russia. Production is scheduled to begin at the factory in 2022.

The 4,000 square-metre plant will be dedicated to the production of SAF’s Intra series of air suspension systems, which are designed for use in trucks and trailers. Upon completion, the site will create around 60 new jobs, of which 50 will be on the production side. Marketing of the air suspension systems will be focused on the European part of Russia, west of the Urals, where roads are relatively accommodating to vehicles fitted with air suspension, in comparison to less amenable conditions on routes east of the Urals.
