Mercedes-Benz celebrates 70 years of manufacturing in Argentina

Argentina Mercedes-Benz Argentina, based in Buenos Aires, has celebrated its 70th anniversary of vehicle manufacturing in the country. Built in 1951, the plant was the company’s first to be built outside of Germany.

Additionally, the company is celebrating 25 years since the start of Sprinter van production in Argentina. The Sprinter range is manufactured alongside the Atego and Accelo trucks at the Juan Miguel Fangio Industrial Center. Seven decades after its foundation, more than 700,000 units have left the factory, including Sprinter vans, trucks, bus chassis, axles and REMAN components.
