SDC Trailers marks 10,000th trailer milestone at new Toomebridge facility

UK – In September, semi-trailer manufacturer SDC Trailers Ltd of Sutton-in-Ashfield, UK, marked a milestone of 10,000 semi-trailers manufactured at its state-of-the art production line in Toomebridge, County Antrim, UK, that was inaugurated three years after the facility first opened.
The 600,000-square-foot site at Toomebridge was commissioned in August 2018 as part of a GBP7m investment to expand the company’s existing manufacturing base in Northern Ireland, with the aim of meeting additional demand for its products. The 10,000th product is a boxvan trailer intended for TIP Trailer Services UK Ltd of Stretford, UK (a subsidiary of trailer leasing giant, Tip Trailer Services of Amsterdam, Netherland owned by I Squared Capital).
