Brazil - Sílvio Munhoz, Sales Solutions director of Scania do Brasil Ltda of São Bernardo do Campo, SP, is confident of growth in the Brazilian truck and bus market this year and agrees with the forecast by Anfavea (National Association of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers) that the total market is to exceed 192,000 units in 2022, an increase of some 30% over some 158,000 commercial vehicles sold 2021.

Munhoz said the Brazilian market would continue to be pulled forward by the agribusiness sector, which remains the biggest buyer of heavy-duty vehicles, as well as by other several segments that are heating up, he added.
