Garrett celebrates 45 years and production of more than five million turbochargers in Brazil

Brazil – Garrett Advancing Motion Indústria Automotiva Ltda at the end of 2021 celebrated 45 years of activities in Brazil; 35 of which have been spent in its factory located in Guarulhos, São Paulo state, which is dedicated to the production of turbocharging systems for engines in cars, trucks, buses, and agricultural machinery. During this 45-year period, turbocharger production for the markets of South America at Garrett Brazil has exceeded five million units.
Turbocharging is common in both diesel and petrol-powered vehicles as it has enabled better performance i.e., increased power output, increased fuel efficiency, reduced emissions such as reduced CO2 and a reduction in engine size to the benefit of the environment.
