Volvo Trucks leads the electric truck market in Europe in 2021

Sweden – Volvo Trucks Corporation, a subsidiary of the Volvo Group based in Gothenburg, Sweden, was the market leader for electric trucks in Europe in 2021, with a 42% share, according to statistics released by market analysis firm IHS Markit Ltd of London, UK.

In 2021, a total of 346 electric trucks over 16 tonnes were registered in Europe, a 193% increase on 2020. 145 of these trucks were sold under the Volvo brand, thus giving the company approximately 42% of the market share.
