Russia / Ukraine – In the wake of the invasion of Ukraine by Russian and Belarusian forces, and the subsequent imposition of sanctions by primarily Western governments on the Kremlin and Russian business interests at home and abroad, several original equipment manufacturers in Europe, North America, and East Asia have suspended all business ties to the Russian Federation until further notice.

On 3 March, Cummins Inc of Columbus, Indiana, USA released a statement condemning the invasion and announcing the suspension of all its business operations in Russia. Cummins has 700 employees working at offices in Moscow and across over 100 authorised dealers and partners in Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan. In addition, it has a joint venture with KAMAZ which was founded in 2006. The engine manufacturer stressed that it continues to prohibit all direct sales of its products to the Russian military.
