VW Caminhões e Ônibus accelerates training in electromobility in Brazil

Brazil - Just over six months after the launch of its first 100% electric truck model, Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus Ltda of Resende, Rio de Janeiro State, has already provided more than 16,000 training courses to the most diverse audiences. The aim is to qualify everyone involved in the production chain to accelerate introduction of electrification.
The electrification qualification project highlights points of attention for everyone from battery assembly to the moment the vehicle is electrified, known as high voltage vehicle commissioning, which is when the electric vehicle is first energized, requiring specific procedures to manage voltages greater than 600V.
