SAF-Holland acquires UK supplier of truck and trailer parts

Germany / UK – SAF-Holland SE, a manufacturer of chassis components and braking systems for truck-trailer combinations based in Bessenbach, Bavaria, Germany, has acquired truck and trailer parts supplier IMS Ltd of Shepshed, UK from Dutch firm IMS Group, with the view of expanding its market share in Britain and Ireland.
IMS Ltd is a small firm which employs 19 people and which was bought, according to SAF-Holland, for a price in the “low single-digit million-euro range”. The company already supplies SAF-Holland parts to customers in the UK and Ireland, including trailer axles and suspensions.
